The Marine Corps League was founded in 1923 by Major General John A. Lejeune, the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps, and is the only veterans organization that has been chartered by Congress, receiving its charter on August 4, 1937.

Mission and Purpose
  • Preserve Traditions: The League aims to preserve the traditions and spirit of the United States Marine Corps.
  • Promote Interests: It promotes the interests of the Marine Corps and strengthens the bond among Marines and their families.
  • Serve Members: The organization serves Marines, Navy Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsmen, and FMF Chaplains who have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem.
