Arthur Joseph Abene  (March 25, 1925 – January 20, 2009)

ARTHUR JOSEPH ABENE Age 83 years, of Randolph, NJ passed away on Jan. 20, 2009.

Arthur was born on March 25, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Randolph for the last 33 years of his life.  Prior to that, he lived in Parsippany, NJ. He was a barber for the Morris View Nursing Home.

Arthur served in the Military during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the North Jersey Gun Club and the Marine Corp League, Slattery detachment.

He is predeceased by his parents, Charles Abene and Mary Abene and was survived by his wife of 56 years, Nora Abene of Randolph, NJ who died on November 1, 2015; Daughters, Catherine Healy and her husband James of Toms River, NJ, Mary Nowicki and her husband Eugene of Chester, NJ; Grandchildren, Stephanie and James Healy, Christine and Eugene Nowicki.

The funeral Mass was held on Friday Jan. 23,2009 at St. Lawrence in Chester. He is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.

The family requested that donations in his memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO BOX 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
