Frederick J Freiwald died on January 7, 2011, after a short illness. Mr. Freiwald was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. During his tour of duty, Mr. Freiwald was wounded in combat and received the Purple Heart.

Slattery Marine Corps League Auxiliary and Treasurer of L/Cpl Robert J. Slattery Detachment #206 of Whippany, NJ which was named in honor of her son.
Jimmy Heien died at the age of 81 on November 27, 2017. Jimmy was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and was past vice commandant of the Slattery Detachment #206 Marine Corps League, as well as Board member of the Marines Care, Whippany.
