Akkaway, Edward S (Jan 12, 1944 – Oct 25, 2017)
Edward Samuel Akkaway of Parsippany died at the age of 73 on October 25, 2017. Edward was born in Paterson, where he lived for 19 years before moving to Parsippany. He was the beloved husband of Frances Akkaway of Parsippany and loving father of Edward Akkaway and his wife Melissa of Malibu, CA and Daniel Akkaway and his wife Jennifer of Ho-ho-kus. He was also the adoring grandfather of Sofia, Jack, Julian, and Ford Akkaway. Eddie was survived by Tracy and her children Michael, Joseph, and Alyssa. He was a loving brother of Paul Akkaway and Rose Gadgzis.
Eddie served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart.
He was also an Electrician for IBEW Local #102, Parsippany. Mr. Akkaway was a member of the John Raad Post American Legion, Paterson and IBEW Local #102, Parsippany, and Sacred Heart Church Parish Council, Little Falls.
Edward S Akkaway died on 25 October 2017.
His funeral Mass took place at Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church in Little Falls and entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.
