Veterans

What a great day! It was an honor to be with over 100 veterans on Saturday June 24th 2023. The lake communities really came out in force to show their appreciation for them, and they were smiling from ear to ear. Thank you to all who made this possible today. God bless our vets and God bless the USA! Veterans from Hopatcong and Jefferson shove off the Nolan's Point dock at 0900. Veterans from Mount Arlington and Roxbury shove off at 1100. In addition to Saluting our Veterans, we want to thank everyone (and there are many, many, many) behind the scenes that make this Salute to Veterans possible.

Thank you each and all. Thank you email from Ida Once again, because of your kindness, our Veteran’s were treated to a very special day today! From the bagpipes to the military attendees, Marty Kane and his wonderful historical information, the food and drink, and flags for all, the Veteran’s cruise is appreciated more than words can express.

My husband Tom was fortunate enough to be able to participate again this year and he was humbled and honored to be sharing time with so many dedicated and decorated Veterans. I was on the River Styx Bridge when the cruise stopped to wave and cheer – it is always such an emotional tribute both for those of us on the bridge and the Vets waving back. Despite the rain -- it was a perfect day in every way!

The staff and crew of the Lotta are awesome. Their compassion and true appreciation of those on board really makes the cruise extra special. Please commend them for us.

We wanted to extend a personal thanks to you and all involved for continuing to make this an annual event and for recognizing the men and women who have fought to make this country great.

Bless you all for your kindness.

Sincerely,

Ida & Tom
